The Meaning of Namaste

The meaning of Namaste has a beautiful and powerful psycho-spiritual origin. “Namaste” is India’s most well known export to the western civilization. Namaste is a spiritual greeting of respect when you meet any spiritual teacher, fellow student or when greeting someone you honor. One translation is that it means, “I bow down to the divinity within you”.

When you honor the divine within another person at the same time you are honoring it within yourself. Namaste expresses the very essence of respect for all of the Presence of God within all of us. In truth, each of us is part of one big family. We come from the same source of life and return once we pass away from the physical body. Namaste helps to remind us of our common heritage while bringing to life the important need for respecting each other.

The other important feature of reciting Namaste when you greet someone is the holding of the hands together over the heart as though in the jesture of praying. This brings together the two positive and negative energy fields in the body balancing them over the heart. The heart is the strongest source of electrical energy in the physical-etheric body. By balancing your energy there is a union of masuline and femanine polarity in the entire auric field of energy.

The psycho-spiritual aspect is engaged because as you bring your hands together at your heart center, literally connecting the right and left hemispheres of the brain. This is a yogic process of unification, the yoking of our active and receptive natures. Thus, you are connecting the heart centers and heart centers in one loop of energy.

Try this on your family and spiritual friends when you see them. It creates a mood of peace, serentiy and respect which is far greater than a hand shake or simple hello.

In India when we meet somebody, we join hands for namaste, sort of diffusing ourselves before the meeting. during the meeting, our mood may elevate, aggravate and when we see the same person off again we join hands to bid goodbye, sort of diffusing ourselves after the meeting.

In India the practice of namaste has become less commonly used being replaced by the western greeting of hello. The hand shake has also taken hold in most Asian countries as well.

Questions to Ask Yourself Before Becoming a Medical Intuitive

Are you asking yourself if becoming a medical intuitive is right for you to pursue as a career? If so, this article may help you gather more information about making a career change, or supplementing your existing healthcare career with these intuitive skills.

A medical intuitive is a new healthcare diagnostic skill set which combines the knowledge of the bio-mechanical, biological and physiological aspects of the body with spiritual insight beyond current intellectual understanding. It is a blend of knowledge and insight at its’ very best. In a sense it requires you to have access to both the right and left hemispheres of your physical brain. This balanced bi-hemispheric ability is a rare, but can be developed with time through exercising those centers. Everyone has some measure of access to both sides of the human psyche, but usually one dominates, either right (sensing/intuitive) or left(concrete/logical). Medical Intuition requires a measure both hemispheres and aspects of your psyche to be active, hence the name.

One of the symbols for the intuition in the ancient wisdom tradition is lightning. Lightning takes place very quickly very much like intuition. Intuition gives rapid insight which precedes thoughts and analysis. It is direct insight from the intuitional body to the conscious mind. The intuitional body is the next highest body deeper than or “beyond” the mental body. Intuition is a powerful aspect of human consciousness when developed because it has seven levels of functioning as do the physical, emotional and mental bodies.

What intuition is not:

Intuition is not having hunches, or feelings. That is instinct, similar to what animals feel when danger is near. These sensations, general impressions and information are helpful but less clearly defined than content rich intuitional information. The direct insights from the intuition are highly organized, yet may not be clear in meaning to the lower mind until the mind is prepared to translate this contact.

Hunches are related to the emotional body, not the intuitional body. Even though hunches are valuable they are usually more vague, and less precise than intuitional insights. There are similarities between intuition and emotional hunches because both involve sensing mechanisms inherent with all of us. Hunches originate in the personal-emotional self, where as intuition originates in the Higher Self, unconditional nature and impersonal Soulful part of our being.

Can you be trained to develop, or increase your intuition?

Ultimately, in the long term, anyone can develop intuition. But, not everyone has the natural path to the intuition as easily accessible as others. It is my experience that if you do not have these gifts present at least in a beginning measure, they will not blossom as quickly as another individual that does have a measure of intuition already actively present in their lives. Do not be discouraged by this fact, all faculties can be cultivated with correct knowledge, training and patience.

If you have an interest in becoming a medical intuitive or if you have some propensity for those skills now, then this is a positive indication to proceed to the stage of learning more.

Becoming a medical intuitive is one part natural gift and one part medical training. You will need to have a knowledge based structure into which to filter your insights, clairvoyance (seeing into the etheric body), clairaudient (hearing guidance) and clairsentience (feeling with your body the client’s or patient’s body) information. If you have educational accomplishments in healthcare, such as being as a :

Herbalist,
Chiropractor,
Naturopath,
Medical Doctor,
Psychologist,
Nurse, RN, LPN,
Nurse Practitioner,
Physicians Assistant
Licensed Massage Therapist
Acupuncture Therapist
Or, other skilled health care training,

then this may be a good professional healthcare path to pursue for service to others. Having a background in medicine or healing is the left brain side of being a medical intuitive. Natural healers, or those with existing skills, may do better more rapidly in acquiring the new medical intuitive skills sets.

Taking on a the medical intuitive as a new professional direction is best taken on with some consideration, research and reflection. Just become you are sensitive does not mean this is the best direction for you. My advice is to take this career path one step at a time. This is a big decision, and should be taken with plenty of time, prayer, reflection and research.

How to Sit Comfortably in Meditation

There are some spiritual teachers that advise sitting in a full lotus posture with both legs tucked close to the body, and the tops of the feet resting up against the upper thigh. What if this doesn’t feel good?

For some people, especially those who are younger or more limber, this full lotus style is easy to do. However, for most of us, it might be too painful a meditation posture causing your meditation experience to be very unpleasant without any purpose at all.

My advice is not to sit in full lotus posture, unless you can manage this without a great degree of pain.

The most important thing about meditation posture is that it support your , focus and be at ease, allowing for a deeper experience. Regardless of what others might say, just sit comfortably in an Indian style with both legs crossed, hands in your lap or resting on the knees.

One thing that is important is to be certian to keep your back straight, but not tense. This Indian style of meditation posture works best for most people. You don’t benefit from pain or discomfort. Release stress from your body, emotions and mind.

Meditation is not like being in the Marines during boot camp. After all, meditation is connecting with your deepest essential Self or core of your being. Whatever prevents the experience of connecting to the Presence, God, the Divine, Enlightened Mind or whatever you are comfortable calling your source of inspiration, should be discarded.

Significant Earth Movements Preceding or Following a Full Moon are not Uncommon

I am grateful to learn that everyone is safe after the recent earthquake in N. Mexico which also affected the southwestern USA as well.

Significant earth movements preceding or following a full moon period are not uncommon because our planet is adjusting to inflows of electromagnetic energy from the Sun, other planets and constellations. These are subtle and powerful electrical forces, not gravitational forces. You can detect them with your body, emotions and mind when paying close attention because your aura is electromagnetic just like the planet.

Aries brings the intense fiery energy as it flows into our planets’ electrical system. This inflow of energy affects the planet because of our conductive iron core beneath the crust of the earth, and it also impacts human life as well.

You are electrical in nature too. What affects the planet affects human life and affairs. I recommend keeping a journal of your thoughts, feelings, social interactions with others, marriage or work life. Note changes occur in your life before, during and after a full moon. A long series of observations will yield some helpful insights about your relationship to the greater life.

I have noted an intense increase in energy these past few weeks, almost like a burning ground at work which purifies latent conflicts in people’s personalities. I notice more anger, irritability and grouchiness in many people recently.

Aries coincides with Spring, Easter and fiery energy of life. The energy of Aries is conditioned by the love-wisdom heart center of the Sun, the Warrior like energy of Mars, and the Mercurial swift illuminating energy of Mercury.

The modern and ancient teachings about these zodiacal energies are not based in superstition, as some narrow minded scientists postulate. Rather, these are intuitive insights of age old truths, the wisdom of which was revealed ages ago by masters. These spiritual masters ahred little known information which science is only beginning to touch upon. The awareness of th relationship of human life, our planet, our solar system and larger zodically constellations of energies are part of a vast electro-mangetic network. When the Lord Buddha achieved enlightenment he giggled! Why did he giggle?

Each of us struggles to find real, lasting happiness. You are identified with your physical, emotional and mental dramas, or the ups and downs of daily life. Maybe this is why so many people watch soap operas or the evening meladramatic TV shows? These dramas appeal to you because you like drama. But does drama, and identification with your struggles and suffering lead to happiness? Being caught up in daily dramas do not lead your to happiness.

If you want to experience greater happiness follow me, I know the way. I do hear and feel your struggles because I was there too, and still struggle at times. However, I find greater happiness in each day, in each moment than ever before. The struggles to find happiness have value in the journey, but what if you could experience fewer struggles, less drama and more happiness?

I support you at being happy, even if conditions do not support that at times. I wish for you to go beyond or transcend the struggles, and know that you are good, that you are loved, and avoid taking on other people’s issues. Your self-worth, your happiness and well-being are important. And, your struggles are not a reflection of your true inner value beyond the outer drama.

You need to look deeper to find the source of, and causes of happiness within your pure self.

There is a part of you that is calm, serene, joyful and radiant. Would it beneift your physical health, emotional health and mental health to stay connected to that source of happiness? Yes…yes…yes it would!
