Stress can be reduced by quiet time because silence slows down the mental chatter while allow you to find your center.
What does center mean? The center is your deeper, quieter part of yourself which is naturally focused and more calm.
To reduce stress, create time during the day to have a period of silence. If you can carve out ten minutes on a coffee break to sit and listen to some relaxing music this helps. Even better is to withdraw to a place where you can be in total silence for 10 minutes. Just sit and be with yourself. Remember you are a human “being” not a human doing. Being human is about being in the flow where your inner life, which is calm and clear, and the outer hustle and bustle life are united.
Most often all of us get caught up in the rush of life. We rush to take a shower in the morning, we rush to eat some breakfast, we rush to work, we rush through the day, rush home, rush through dinner and then collapse into bed. There is an alternative. Make time 20-30 minutes a day for silence, reflection and deeper enjoyment of life.
The power of silence is enormously beneficial. Silence can slow down your organs, calm your physical brain, lower blood pressure, decrease appetite and increase your awareness of all the blessings in your life. Silence is healing because it dissolves all kinds of stress.

How to Sit Comfortably in Meditation
There are some spiritual teachers that advise sitting in a full lotus posture with both legs tucked close to the body, and the tops of the feet resting up against the upper thigh. What if this doesn’t feel good?
For some people, especially those who are younger or more limber, this full lotus style is easy to do. However, for most of us, it might be too painful a meditation posture causing your meditation experience to be very unpleasant without any purpose at all.
My advice is not to sit in full lotus posture, unless you can manage this without a great degree of pain.
The most important thing about meditation posture is that it support your ability to relax, focus and be at ease, allowing for a deeper experience. Regardless of what others might say, just sit comfortably in an Indian style with both legs crossed, hands in your lap or resting on the knees.
One thing that is important is to be certian to keep your back straight, but not tense. This Indian style of meditation posture works best for most people. You don’t benefit from pain or discomfort. Release stress from your body, emotions and mind.
Meditation is not like being in the Marines during boot camp. After all, meditation is connecting with your deepest essential Self or core of your being. Whatever prevents the experience of connecting to the Presence, God, the Divine, Enlightened Mind or whatever you are comfortable calling your source of inspiration, should be discarded.

Often times, I use the image of a garden full of flowering trees, shrubs and plants of all kinds to describe the Inner Blooming of the Human Soul. This phrases in not simply poetic or a metaphor, but actually ignites the imagination about the subtle constitution of your etheric, emotional and mental bodies.
One of the very beneficial side effects of construcitive, conscious living is mentioned by one of my spiritual teachers, Torkom Saraydarian. He writes that when a person (that is you!) is “unfolding spiritually, his head center(the energy chakra above the crown of the head) looks like a (12 petaled) lotus; another golden flower appears near each of his shoulder blades; another on his throat; and another between the eyebrows. These etheric centers are like flowers. When a person is really developed, which means flourishing, he is like a beautiful blooming tree. (Taken from Talks on Agni).
Every action, every emotion and every thought is either creating a beneficial effect or diminishing effect on your live, aura and others. The flowering of the human soul is a by-product of the life you live each day.

Aries coincides with Spring, Easter and fiery energy of life. The energy of Aries is conditioned by the love-wisdom heart center of the Sun, the Warrior like energy of Mars, and the Mercurial swift illuminating energy of Mercury.
The modern and ancient teachings about these zodiacal energies are not based in superstition, as some narrow minded scientists postulate. Rather, these are intuitive insights of age old truths, the wisdom of which was revealed ages ago by masters. These spiritual masters ahred little known information which science is only beginning to touch upon. The awareness of th relationship of human life, our planet, our solar system and larger zodically constellations of energies are part of a vast electro-mangetic network. In this network of bodies energies flow in and out of each system like blood coarsing through our veins as the heart beats.
The full moon of Aries has little to do with our Earth Moon at all. The fullness of the moon is just an indicator that the energies of the Sun can have their full impact at pushing away with solar winds any negative drag effect of the moon. The moon is full because it in the direct path of the Sun’s light, solar winds and powerful electro-magnetic waves.
I urge you to begin studying the relationship between your life, the earth, the solar system and the zodiac beyond. When the Lord Buddha achieved enlightenment he giggled! Why did he giggle?
Each of us struggles to find real, lasting happiness. You are identified with your physical, emotional and mental dramas, or the ups and downs of daily life. Maybe this is why so many people watch soap operas or the evening meladramatic TV shows? These dramas appeal to you because you like drama. But does drama, and identification with your struggles and suffering lead to happiness? Being caught up in daily dramas do not lead your to happiness.
If you want to experience greater happiness follow me, I know the way. I do hear and feel your struggles because I was there too, and still struggle at times. However, I find greater happiness in each day, in each moment than ever before. The struggles to find happiness have value in the journey, but what if you could experience fewer struggles, less drama and more happiness?
I support you at being happy, even if conditions do not support that at times. I wish for you to go beyond or transcend the struggles, and know that you are good, that you are loved, and avoid taking on other people’s issues. Your self-worth, your happiness and well-being are important. And, your struggles are not a reflection of your true inner value beyond the outer drama.
You need to look deeper to find the source of, and causes of happiness within your pure self.
There is a part of you that is calm, serene, joyful and radiant. Would it beneift your physical health, emotional health and mental health to stay connected to that source of happiness? Yes…yes…yes it would!
