Ending Procrastination Once and For All
I hope you had a wonderful weekend and are ready for a great week, enjoying the warmer weather and finding greater fulfillment in each moment.
Today’s post is about Ending Procrastination Once and For All which is definitely possible. Procrastination is caused by several emotional states:
1) fear of failure,
2) fear of success, which is the mirror image of failure and
3) perfectionism
All of these causes are just habits of mind, thinking and beliefs which can be released easier than you might presently think. Just keep an open mind until you’ve listened to the Tapping World Summit audios found on the attached links.
But, no matter what the cause procrastination can be overcome regardless of the cause using tapping or EFT,aka, emotional freedom technique.

CBS’s Suspension of ‘Two and a Half Men’
While reading a news report about Charlie Sheen’s reaction to the popular show ‘Two and a Half Men’ being suspended by the producer Lorre and CBS’s, it occurred to me that a dose of kindness would be in order. Charlie is reacting in anger and attacking the producer after hearing the news of the show being placed on hold until issues are resolved.
Reacting in anger is a sign of frustration, but focusing on the obligations and responsibilities of the producer is a more proactive approach. Every relationship is better served by kindness and understanding. Kindness is an act of respecting and honoring oneself. Kindness towards those with who you and I, or in this case Charlie Sheen, has relationships with is the higher road to take allowing for resolution to the TV show crisis.
Kindness creates the opportunity for healing, whereas, reacting with blame, name calling or anger give rise to more tensions. Tension is a form of friction which serves neither party. If Charlie keeps creating more tension both parties will move apart rather than cooperate for mutual benefit.
Anger is also a destructive defense mechanism which only builds a greater wall between the two parties, Charlie Sheen and Two and a Half Men show producer Lorre.
Harming oneself is bad enough, but harming another person creates a great deal more negative karma. The greatest benefit comes from cooperation rather than antagonism. There are more good possible outcomes when coming together to work through a challenge.
Attacking others, especially those who have given us opportunities to make living, undermines both the attacker and the person being attacked. The only way forward for a healing to take place is through acknowledging one’s own errors and making efforts to heal them. Without kindness and compassion relationships will be marred by the scars of hurt and anger.
I always recommend to those I teach about healing anger, injury, blaming study a series called Loving Kindness Meditations short course by Sharon Salzberg.
Anger is caused by pain or hurt. But if you or I react in anger with more injury to the other person, then more anger results. Compassion is the antidote to anger and injury. Compassion focuses on the other person’s needs. In this case that would be the fans, CBS network executives and the producer. Does Two and Half Men producer Lorre have a right and obligation to protect the show, the network from threats to the show? Most would say, yes he does. He is the boss. What employer would tolerate illegal conduct from an employee, even a highly paid contract employee?
In the words of Sharon Salzberg, “Loving kindness meditations are not a technique for repressing your awareness of life’s pain. Rather, it is a way to break down the artificial mental barriers that separate you from others.”
The benefit of watching another person, whether Charlie Sheen, or any public figure struggle with tough emotions, is that you and I can learn how to not face a similar situation. We can learn from each other even when there are bloopers being expressed. Two and a Half Men is a very popular show with a huge following and provides CBS with strong ratings. It would benefit all parties if Charlie would draw down the anger, focus on the need of the show, and his loyal fan following. This takes some restraint but will give him the opportunity to practice compassion, kindness and understanding.
I recommend this wonderfully easy to use reflective Loving Kindness Meditation practice in order to reduce emotional friction while increasing skills to cope with hurts, disappointments and daily challenges. The need for more kindness towards Two and a Half Men producer Lorre is certainly called for. After all, he is the boss, and what he is doing is reasonable given the recent crisis.

I am Grateful is a Chant
One of the most effective, life enriching chants is: I am grateful…I am grateful…I am grateful. This chant is a healing thought bringing balance into your entire life.
Gratitude awakens us to far more than receiving things from others. Gratitude releases energy from the human soul or chalice. The deepest gratitude allows us to see the reflection of ALL things good within our own mind and heart.
Try making gratitude an all pervasive attitude you take towards whatever happens. One of the most powerful opportunities to use gratitude is when you are ill, lost a loved one or left a job. These are the most difficult times to feel anything good, yet it is exactly at these moments when gratitude will assist you the most. Why is that?
Gratitude helps you see the bigger picture. It allows you to see the good in life vs the losses. Losses are necessary to open the door to new love, new life, new jobs, to heal the cause of illness. We tend to look at life in a dualistic way, seeing the things we love and the things we hate or resist. Yet, the entire process is beneficial.
Sometimes I envision my life as a garden. In the Fall thinning, pruning and removal of dead plants needs to take place. When the Spring arrives I plant new plants, seed the garden with new life and nurture new crops of flowers, fruit and vegetables.
If you watch your life as the seasonal changes that take place in the garden it becomes easier to be grateful for the harvests and periods of pruning when the garden appears to be in decline. Losses are important in order to make the way for new life for the next cycle.
If you repeat the phrase “I am grateful” throughout as many moment of life you can whether “good” or “bad”, joyful or sorrowful experiences, victories or defeats, then life more abundant will appear along the way. Gratitude opens the ability of our emotions and mind to digest our experiences, making use of them to form knowledge. The wisdom to live life fully comes through awakening an awareness of gratitude.
Try repeating this phrase each morning when you awakening…I am grateful…I am grateful…I am grateful. Do this for 30-60 seconds. Notice how you feel.

Karmic Benefits Are Increased During Full Moon Cycles
Today is the Sun in Libra, aka, the Full Moon of Libra. Whatever intentions, actions and activities you engage in today will be magnified by the streams of electro-magnetic energy. Like the sea life at the shore that feeds on the harvest of life when the tides are high, so too are human kind during the cycles of increased energy from the surrounding ocean of life.
Farmers know that being mindful of the cycles of Sun and full moon when planting seeds create better crop yields. The same energy and cycles are affecting the entire planet, solar system and galaxcy. There are clearly cycles of electro-magnetic energy which rise and fall in a rthymic manner. We have yet to scientifically fully understand the depth of the electro-magnetic energy cycles from the Sun, distant stars and galaxcy. Some people disregard them altogether as superstition because the body of scienfic knowledge is still small, while others have been studying Sun Cycles for thousands of years. Only recently has the notion of dark matter, which is the fabric of the universe, been grasped. Enlightened masters have known about dark matter for eons, calling it the fabric of life. Perhaps what science calls dark matter is a network of electrical fibers that act as the nervous system for commuication. If the human body has a fiberous network, why not the universe from which the human body is just a tiny micro cosmic reflection?
In the ancient wisdom, Buddhist, Hindu and Chinese wisdom traditions understanding the relationship of mankind to the greater universe has been a source of study for spiritual practice. According to the Buddhist masters, both positive karmic benefits and destructive consequences are multiplied 1,000′s of times during the full moon period. Make special efforts to express loving-kindness, compassion, generosity and joyfulness the 2-3 days preceding a full moon, especially the day of the full and the 2-3 days following the full moon. These days are more powerful.
No harm can come from exercising self-discipline to be more mindful of your conduct during these times. Only good will come from efforts to be your better Self, expressing positive qualities in each moment. This is the path of happiness.
Activities which are particularly important today would be meditation, prayers for the welfare of the world, and those you love, service projects, and engaging in life long passions which are philanthropic.

Caring for One Another Creates a Flow of Blessings
Caring for one another creates a flow of blessings from the Angelic Kingdom, God and the Masters which you often times never imagine in the beginning of the experience. You never really know where the journey of love will lead you at the outset of the experience. But, if you reach out to someone around you that is hurting and in need, often you receive the gift of love in return.
Here is a story my friend Monika shared with me recently. See if this story of caring for another creates a flow of blessings for you too. You might find yourself knodding your head in agreement, “Yes, I have been there when I performed a random act of kindness.”
“Someone just gave me a prescious gift. While drinking my cup of coffee outside at a cafe I was feeling slightly alone. A disabled man approached me asking for food. My first reaction was judgement because of his appearance. But then something happened. I bought him as much food that I could afford to. He ate with me at my table while I drank my coffe. We sat together for some time talking about life. The love that I felt towards him was priceless. His name is Edward. I want to thank Edward for this gift of love we experienced in a moment where two people sharing some time together just being there with one another. Edward reached out when in need, and I reached back to help him have a nice meal. I lost the feeling of loneliness and was given a precious gift by seeing that when we help someone, we feel love too. I don’t feel alone anymore. I realized we are ALL ONE family here to help each other in times of need.”
When you express love and compassion towards others through random acts of kindness something amazing happens. You are blessed as well by the energy of love flowing through us to that person in need. We know love through expressing love. We experience love when giving love in service to others. Love is a current that is ours only when we maintain the flow of love.
When the opportunity presents itself to help someone, reach out. You are a servant of love when you express love and compassion to others.

Couples Arguments Cause Clogged Arteries
A recent study of men and women’s communication styles in relationships at the University of Utah revealed that contentious, angry and negative arguments between couples significantly increased the risk of clogged arteries. Women’s hearts were affected negatively by hostile comments from men, while men’s hearts were also adversely affected by domineering, controlling words from women. If you think eating a low fat diet is important in maintaining heart and cardiovascular health and heart health, then you now have another Ah ha to consider for overall health.
Disagreements are a natural part of being in relationships. This includes our relationships with siblings, mates, parents, neighbors and friends. Conflict is inevitable but how you resolve conflict presents many creative choices. The question is this: Are you aware or mindful enough to see the choices in the present moment?
It is far better to honor each other through discussion vs. attacking the other person. This is essential for physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. It takes 100 kind acts to heal 1 negative act. Peaceful communication about conflict trumps attacking your partner, friend or family member. Words can so easily wound another human being.
If you gradually train the mind and emotions to express themselves more expansively, calmly and with greater awareness under your wise guidance, then unimaginably great blessings will emerge in your relationships. But, this process of good communication first starts within your own self. You must begin to have a mindful relationship to your own mind, emotions and body, and then great things begin to emerge as a result.
The physical, emotional and mental bodies are very much like children that need the gradual daily discipline or guidance from a parent. You as a soul are function through the personality. Do You Understand Happiness?
As I read the current literature presented from so many get rich quick, or prosperity teachers, they present the idea that having more money, the perfect relationship, the dream job, a bigger house, newer car, fancier vacations are the pinnacle of happiness. These are false teachings. It is good to be prosperous but is this the source of happiness? Take a look at many wealth celebrities or other rich and famous people in our society. Are they truly happy?
I don’t think we understand happiness too well. If you see Donald Trump, Bill Gates, Ted Turner, Oprah Winfrey or any other wealthy person as an example of happiness, you are missing the value right in your own heart and mind. You have access to as much happiness as you can imagine in your own Self.
There truly isn’t a way or path to happiness. Happiness is the way or the path. Relative happiness or favorable conditions are helpful but not the causes of happiness. Happiness is the cause. Conditions are the effects, or by-products of happiness. When chasing the effects the cause of happiness will escape us! We need favor conditions in daily life, but without a strong connection to the source of happiness within us, the outter conditions are empty, and feel unfulfilling.

You need to be reminded of this message about real happiness often because the world around you is full of deluded messages that you are not good enough, or that without this or that product something is missing in your life. These messages are rubbish. You have the connection to the source of happiness, joy and love within you. Keep listening to those who honor that part of you which is wonderful, good, positive and joyful.
